ABCs Of Death 2 gets a really GRIM looking [redband] trailer

“ABC’s of Death 2 is the follow-up to the most ambitious anthology film ever conceived with productions spanning from Nigeria to UK to Brazil and everywhere in between. It features segments directed by over two dozen of the world’s leading talents in contemporary genre film. The film is comprised of twenty-six individual chapters, each helmed by a different director assigned a letter of the alphabet. The directors were then given free rein in choosing a word to create a story involving death. Provocative, shocking, funny and at times confrontational, ABC’s of Death 2 is another global celebration of next generation genre filmmaking.“

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I actually didn’t enjoy ABCs Of Death as much as I hoped I would. Of all 26 segments, I thought a few were fantastic and the others were just plain stupid. Even after seeing [at the end of the first film’s credits] that a sequel was already greenlit – I groaned and thought it was going to be just as lame as the first. However, now that a release date [various VideoOnDemand platforms on October 2, 2014 and in theaters for October 31, 2014] I may actually find a reason to enjoy this film.

this time around, with so many big names coming to this installment; it makes the film seem like it’s going to be fairly decent. [compared to it’s predecessor; maybe I need to re-watch it? it is on Netflix afterall] If you find yourself curious as to who’s taking part in making ABCs Of Death 2, I’ve written up a small list of the 26 new directors with the movie[s] they’re most known for, feel free to check it out below:

To make this film seem even more exciting than I already feel like I’m making it out to be, Magnet Releasing brought out the first redband trailer for ABCs Of Death 2 yesterday [while I was at work too!] and it looks violent.. almost more so than the first [gotta step up their game somehow, right?] This trailer has blood, gore, ghosts, decapitations and that’s just to name a few. Check out this RedBand trailer below, and remember – the film [and therefore it’s trailer] is guaranteed to be rated [at least] 18+ so watch the following at your own discretion:

So was I the only one who got super excited by the segment at the beginning? It just looks so damn fun.. it’ll be violent and grotesque for sure, but that’s all part of the fun. If it’s anything like the first, I’ll be greatly disappointed. [I really found myself turned off by the first..] Let me know what you thought about the first trailer in the comments! Halloween is shaping up to be insane with horror films this year! looks like I’m going to be spending some quality time with the theater around Halloween!

THANKS FOR READING.
